KLM has added an A321neo to its aircraft fleet on August 27, 2024. Touching down at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, the new aircraft is the first A321neo to enter the airline's fleet and is expected to enter service from mid-September.

“I’ve been looking forward to this with great anticipation. The arrival of the first A321neo marks the start of replacing our Boeing 737 fleet,” said Marjan Rintel, president & CEO KLM.
She continued: “It also offers more comfort. I am looking forward to seeing how our passengers will experience the new aircraft.”
The new Airbus aircraft will serve several destinations around Europe from mid-September.
The Dutch flag carrier will be investing a further €7 billion ($7.79 billion) in its fleet renewal programme over the next few years, which accounts for a substantial share of its total investment portfolio.
On European routes, KLM will be replacing its 737 aircraft with A320neo and A321neo aircraft. At KLM Cityhopper, new E2 models will join the Embraer 175 and 190 aircraft. For intercontinental flights, KLM will be adding five new Boeing 787-10s, followed by the Airbus A350 replacing the airlines 777s and A330s.
Finally, KLM has ordered four A350Fs for its cargo division to replace the 747 freighters.
