Low-cost European carrier Wizz Air has announced what it describes as ‘another milestone in its carbon intensity reduction’, having achieved 51.2 grams per passenger/km for its C02 emissions intensity in the first half of 2024.
This figure - 8% less than in the same period of fiscal year 2023 - marks one of a number of sustainability milestones for the carrier, which also operates the youngest fleet of any European airline with over 100 aircraft.
