Jetstar launches Auckland-Brisbane direct flights

Jetstar recently launched its Auckland-Brisbane service with four weekly flights offering 40,000 seats per annum. This route will offer the Kiwis an opportunity to explore Queensland and provide direct access to 12 domestic destinations.

Stephanie Tully, CEO, Jetstar Group said: “The new route was a fantastic addition to Jetstar’s expanding network of international destinations. We know our customers are always on the lookout for more low fare travel options and exciting destinations. Since we announced the launch of the service, we have seen really strong bookings from holiday makers as well as expats keen to visit family and friends.”

Scott Tasker, Chief Customer Officer, Auckland Airport said: “It is great to have Jetstar bring its value-based proposition to the Brisbane Route. This is bringing much-needed capacity just in time for the winter when Kiwis will be looking for a sunny break. With around 200,000 New Zealand-born residents in Queensland, many living in Brisbane, the route will be popular with those connecting with family and friends.”
