The US Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) has released fuel cost and consumption data for US airlines during the month of June this year. The data shows that scheduled service airlines used 1.68bn gallons of fuel during the month, an increase of 2.2% in comparison to May, and 4.2% higher in comparison to pre-pandemic June 2019.
