Wizz Air has announced multiple changes to its senior leadership team, effective February 1, 2026.
The airline's current CFO Ian Malin will transition to chief commercial officer. Based in Budapest, he will take over all responsibility relating to the company's commercial functions and revenue generation.
Wizz Air said that by placing a "proven leader” in charge of its commercial team, it will support the delivery of “profitable capacity growth”.
Veronika Spanarova will succeed Malin as CFO and will also be based in Budapest. She will join Wizz Air following 30 years at Citi.
She has worked in corporate and retail banking across a number of countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Brazil, and Hungary. She has also served as Citi's managing director, country manager, and Wizz Air's banker.
Both Malin and Spanarova will report to Wizz Air CEO Jozsef Varadi.
“These organisational enhancements will elevate Wizz Air's leadership capacity and commercial function for our ever-growing scale,” said Varadi.
Additionally, the airline's current senior chief commercial and operations officer Michael Delehant will have his role renamed as group managing director, with no change to his duties.
