Vietjet has signed a $300 million aircraft financing agreement with Carlyle Aviation Partners, with the agreement aiming to support the delivery of new aircraft through to 2026.
The Vietnamese carrier described this a “key step” in its fleet expansion strategy, which includes an order of over 400 aircraft.
“We are proud to be a long-term strategic partner of Vietjet, supporting its international growth and commitment to providing affordable, convenient travel options,” said Alexander Rasnavad, president of Carlyle Aviation Partners.
In addition to this financing agreement, Vietjet will also launch a new service to from Phu Quoc to Singapore. This service is set to commence on May 30, 2025, increasing weekly flights operated by the airline between Vietnam and Singapore to 78.
