VietJet is planning to expand its international network to reach all five continents and as a part of the promotional offer VietJet is offering thousands of tickets from Vietnam to Australia free of charge. There is an added component of taxes and extra charges but the base price of the ticket is listed as VND0.
The offer is valid from February 14, 2023 to February 20, 2023 which is regarded as golden week according to VietJet. The flight tickets are between Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne.
The airline will commence direct route from Ho Chi Minh to Melbourne from April 8, 2023, thrice weekly. The airline is likely to use one of its widebody A330-300 on the Melbourne route.
VietJet vice president Nguyen Thanh Son said that with its fleet of widebody aircraft, the airline is ready to expand its international network [to] restore trade and tourism.
Following Melbourne, the airline is planning to expand operations to other cities of Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin, and Adelaide this year.
