United Airlines will resume daily flights from New York's Newark Liberty International Airport to Tel Aviv, Israel on March 6 2024.
The initial Newark-Tel Aviv flights on March 2 and 4 will stop in Munich to ensure all service providers are ready to support non-stop service between Tel Aviv and Newark. No Newark departures are planned for March 3 and 5.
""United conducted a detailed safety analysis in making this decision, including close work with security experts and government officials in the United States and Israel,"" the company said in a statement
The company also plans to resume a second daily Tel Aviv from Newark around May, 2024 as travel demand recovers.
Flights were suspended from various airlines to Tel Aviv in October, 2023 following the Israel-Gaza conflict heightening.
