Workers union Unite has secured a pay and conditions agreement for more than 4,400 workers at London Heathrow Airport, following constructive negotiations to avoid industrial action.
This new deal will see employees across security, engineering, fire services and airside and landside operations receive a 3.5% increase in basic salary, shift pay and allowance, backdated to January 1, 2025.
A second uplift - either 3.5% or the prevailing percentage increase in 2026, whichever is higher - will be applied from January 1, 2026.
“As Heathrow continues to report strong profits, it's only right that its workers share in that success,” said Unite general secretary Sharon Graham. “This deal reflects their value, and I commend our members for standing firm.”
