French aerospace supplier Zodiac wants to cooperate with Safran now its local rival is no longer seeking to take over the company.
Olivier Zarrouati, chief executive of Zodiac, said Safran had identified a number of projects where the two firms could cooperate.
“We must listen to them, now that relations between our two companies have calmed down,” he said.
One area for collaboration could be electrical aircraft systems, which had sparked Safran’s interest in taking a stake. Meanwhile Zodiac has confirmed its medium-term earnings guidance and announced plans to pursue its own acquisition strategy.
