Spirit Airlines was hit with technical issues, which led to numerous delays nationwide. The airline issued a statement on its social media and announced that the issue has been resolved in three hours.
Due to IT failure, Spirit Airlines delayed over 50% of the flights. The airline announced around 09:00 Eastern Time it was experiencing issues with its app and that airport kiosks were down encouraging the customers to allow extra time at the airport and arrive early.
The technical problems led to more than half of Spirit’s operations being delayed and a few cancelations
Last week, British Airways faced an IT failure, primarily affecting its operations at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) with almost 120 flight cancellations at Heathrow, disrupting around 20% of its daily operations from the London hub.
