Saudia said on February 11, 2025, that the airline is increasing its network this year, on the back of a 16% increase in international passengers during 2024.
The Saudia Arabian flag carrier will add ten new routes during 2025 to destinations such as Vienna, Heraklion, Malaga and Denpasar.
“Following last year’s operational success, we've implemented a strategic plan for 2025 to meet rising international travel demand,” said Ibrahim Al-Omar, director general of Saudia Group.
The airline said its new destination selection is based on comprehensive feasibility studies and guest preferences, adding that the airlines planned delivery of 118 new aircraft in upcoming years will enhance its operational capacity.
These new routes build on an international network expansion by the airline in 2024, when Saudia launched international services to destinations including Beijing, Medan and Phuket.
