Ryanair will invest $100 million into its UK operations, adding an additional 737 aircraft at London Stansted Airport as well as opening seven new additional routes from the airport.
The new routes from Stansted will include Bodrum, Clermont-Ferrand, Dalman, Münster, Lübeck, Linz and Reggio Calabria, the airline also plans to increase frequencies on 30 other London routes.
With the addition of this new aircraft, Ryanair's London-based fleet will increase to 56 aircraft, representing an investment of $5.6bn, while creating 30 new “highly paid” jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineers.
