Qatar Airways announces “reliable” Winter Schedule

Qatar Airways has announced its winter schedule in line with passenger and cargo demand and the continued relaxation of entry restrictions around the world.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are proud to be the global airline passengers trust to take them where they want to go safely and reliably. This trust begins by offering an honest schedule of flights that is realistic of the current market conditions and entry restrictions around the world. Also we ensure when entry restrictions change forcing us to postpone or cancel flights, we support our passengers with the most flexible and generous options to reschedule their plans.”

By the end of 2020, Qatar Airways’ plans to rebuild its network to 124 destinations including 21 in Africa, 10 in the Americas, 42 in Asia-Pacific, 38 in Europe and 13 in Middle East. Many cities will be served with a strong schedule with daily or more frequencies.

Qatar Airways is keeping flexible booking options open for tickets issued before 31 December. For passengers who would like to change their travel plans, they are able to: hold their ticket value for two years, make unlimited date changes, or exchange their ticket for a future travel voucher with 10% extra value.

If passengers have had their travel plans impacted by factors outside their control, they can: change their destination – within the same continental region for Qatar Airways Privilege Club members or within the same country or a 500 mile radius for non-members, swap their ticket for Qmiles, or refund their ticket with no fees applied.

Qatar Airways has also recently three key destinations in South Africa; Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. Services to South Africa will be operated by a mix of the airline’s modern fuel-efficient Airbus A350and Boeing 787 aircraft. With the addition of 19 weekly flights to South Africa, Qatar Airways will operate 63 weekly flights to 17 destinations across the continent including Accra, Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Entebbe, Kigali, Kilimanjaro, Lagos, Maputo, Mogadishu, Nairobi, Tunis, Windhoek and Zanzibar.
