Qantas Airways has extended its direct Brisbane–Koror route for another year, following strong demand for the weekly service to Palau’s capital.
The service launched in December 2024 under an Australian federal government contract. Since its debut, it has contributed to a 113% increase in visitor arrivals to Palau in the first half of 2025 compared to the previous year, driven largely by Australian travellers.
Qantas CEO International Cam Wallace said the airline was “thrilled” with the route’s performance.
“It has been incredibly rewarding to see so many Australians discovering this destination for the first time. The strong demand reinforces our commitment to connecting Australians with unique destinations,” Wallace said.
Flights will continue weekly, departing Brisbane on Saturdays and arriving in Koror after a six-hour journey aboard a Qantas 737.
