Qatar Airways and gategroup have announced a new Business Management Agreement that will see the two companies collaborate on passenger dining experiences.
“This partnership with gategroup will amplify the Qatar Airways brand by delivering refined culinary experiences for our guests, inflight and on the ground in our world class lounges at Hamad International Airport,” explained Qatar Airways Group chief executive officer Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.
Gategroup’s culinary team will be based in Doha, contributing to the development of a dedicated culinary studio for Qatar Airways, through which the airline will explore additional revenue streams as well as optimising operational and commercial efficiencies. The addition of the Qatar flag carrier to gategroup's portfolio will further extend the company’s worldwide catering network, which currently serves passengers from over 200 operating units in over 60 counties and territories.
