Martin Broadhurst has announced his intention to step down from his role as chief executive of Marshall Aerospace during the first quarter of 2011 after 15 years as CEO with the company. Broadhurst will continue to act as an advisor to Sir Michael Marshall, Robert Marshall and the Marshall Group Board. Broadhurst said: “I have had a most exciting and rewarding career with Marshall Aerospace but after 35 years with the company and 15 years as chief executive, I believe that it is time for me to look for new challenges after I step down next year.
"In the meantime I expect to be incredibly busy as the company positions itself for the outcome of the strategic defence and security review and as it goes through the process of appointing my successor. Whilst, undoubtedly, there will be challenges to come, I am confident that I will be leaving Marshall Aerospace in a strong position as it moves into the next chapter of an illustrious history.”
