Lufthansa Technik and LOT Polish Airlines are extending their cooperation in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). The airline awarded the MRO company a first batch of services on CFM International LEAP-1B engines powering its 737 MAX fleet.
The first engine serviced under the contract was inducted in the airline's home country at XEOS near Wroclaw, marking Lufthansa Technik's first ever LEAP engine induction in its local joint venture with GE Aerospace. In parallel, a second LEAP engine contracted to Lufthansa Technik was inducted into the company's Hamburg engine shop.
