Local media reports have suggested that 20 Kingfisher pilots have joined rival airline IndiGo and were offered a joining bonus if they commit to the airline by Feb 15.
Kingfisher has yet to pay pilot their December salaries and in January they warned they would not report for duty if they weren’t paid soon. They still haven’t been paid; neither have employees of Jet Airways.
Yesterday Kingfisher Airlines delayed payment of its December salaries again citing 'large unanticipated payments'. Employees of Jet Airways, the country's largest private carrier by market share, have not been paid for January.
