The Government of Ghana is looking for an international airline to partner it for the new national airline project. This follows the submission of a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the transaction advisor, on the need to get an experienced strategic airline partner with a global distribution network to help the new national airline take advantage of the opportunities in the market place.
Chief Director of the Ministry of Transport, Twumasi Ankrah has stated to media that the government is inviting prospective airline strategic partners to submit an expression of interest to establish a new airline.
‘We are hoping to get a partner by the end of this year we are now going for the expression of interest, so that any airline can apply for us to come up with our short list. The deadline is 24th June 2016. So far no airline has come forward.
