Finnair's passenger traffic was down 2.3% to 804,700 passengers in February 2024 year-on-year (YoY). The airline noted that despite the leap year's extra day, the decrease was mainly caused by a political strike during the first two days of the month causing Finnair to cancel 550 flights.
Overall capacity, measured in available seat kilometres (ASK), increased in February by 3.4% YoY. Passenger load factor declined by 3.1 percentage points to 72.1%
