Etihad launched operations to the Kenyan capital Nairobi on December 15, 2024.
The new route commences in response to “strong demand” for travel between the UAE and Kenya, said Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer at Etihad. “The service strengthens the important ties between our regions, supporting Abu Dhabi's position as a global aviation hub while providing enhanced access to Kenya's thriving tourism market,” added De.
Flying four times-weekly, the new route will be operated by the airline’s A320 aircraft.
Nairobi is the tenth destination to be added to Etihad’s network this year.
