EMP appoints Jochen Baltes as managing director

EMP has appointed Jochen Baltes as its managing director where he will play a senior role in the firm's aviation leasing and financing activities. ""We are very proud to have Jochen Baltes joining our executive management team, with his substantial industry knowledge and depth of experience,"" said EMP managing partner Philipp Prior. ""We see many opportunities to broaden our relationships with our aviation industry partners, and Jochen will certainly be part of that effort."" Baltes' previous role was managing director at GOAL Aviation Leasing where he oversaw deal and equity origination, trading, technical management, trading and OEM relations. He had served at GOAL for over 11 years. ""[EMP] has a great track record and is well positioned to take advantage of the vast opportunities in the aircraft leasing industry,"" said Baltes. Prior to joining GOAL, Baltes had held several technical and commercial functions at Swiss International Airlines, SunExpress, and Lufthansa.
