Embraer has opened new commercial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities in Texas.
The company first announced these new facilities, located at the Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, in September last year, stating that by opening a new owned service centre in Texas, they will support a growing fleet of E-jets in the US.
These new facilities will also allow the manufacturer’s MRO capacity to increase by 53% across the US, with the investment reaching up to $70 million and creating approximately 250 new aviation jobs in Texas.
Embraer will begin operations in an existing hangar, while building a second hangar that is scheduled for completion in 2027.
