American Airlines chief customer officer Taylor retires

American Airlines has announced the retirement of chief customer officer Alison Taylor.

"She has been an integral part of our leadership team since joining American in 2016, leading the work to create a world-class experience at every step of the customer journey,"  said chief commercial officer Vasu Raja, who will divide Taylor's responsibilities with Scott Laurence, senior vice president of global partnerships and international.

While at American, Taylor helped oversee aircraft interior design and the development of in-flight entertainment as well as the redesign of lounges at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. She was named Outstanding Woman of the Year by the Woman in Travel Association in 2019.
