EirTrade Aviation to disassemble a 777-300ER
Aviation asset management and trading company EirTrade Aviation has commenced the disassembly of its first 777-300ER at Knock Airport. ""There is a shortage of 777-300ER material in the market, we are experiencing strong demand and the aircraft comes with a freshly overhauled APU and landing gear with over 9 years green time remaining,” says Lee Carey, VP origination & trading at EirTrade. Carey added: ""Operators and maintenance facilities of the aircraft, who are looking to source used serviceable material for the 777-300ER to reduce the cost of maintenance, will be able to access the material fast as we anticipate the teardown to take just 30 days."" The company has a further several 777 aircraft in the pipeline that are expected to be dissembled in the final two quarters of this year.
