Centrum Air, the low-cost carrier of Uzbekistan recently launched its international operations. The airline’s first international flight on the new route took off on April 2 to Jeddah. The aircraft was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute before the first flight. The airline is planning to operate 7-10 flights per week on Namangan-Jeddah route.
Centrum Air has deployed its Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 on the route.
Apart from the above route, the airline also commenced Jeddah-Tashkent direct flights from April 4. The flights will be operated twice or thrice weekly depending on the demand.
Centrum Air received its air operator certificate in January 2023. The carrier performed the first passenger flight between Tashkent and Fergana on February 15.
The low-cost airline plans to expand its feet to 20 aircraft in 2023, and reach up to a 100 in the next three years.
