Cathay Pacific returns to Rome for summer schedule

Cathay Pacific will expand its European destinations to 12 with the launch of direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome on June 5, 2025. The route will operate three times per week.

The route is the second direct connection between its home hub and Italy with it currently operating five return flights per week to Milan.

The carrier said the addition of the route brings it closer to its 100 global destinations within 2025 target.

“Cathay Pacific’s history in Italy stretches back close to 40 years when we first launched direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome in 1986.," said Cathay chief customer and commercial officer Lavinia Lau. "We know our customers have been eagerly anticipating the return of this route, and we are delighted to be returning to Italy’s marvellous capital this summer.”

The route will be serviced by an A350-900.
