Avolon has delivered one A320neo to Royal Jordanian Airlines, the first of the aircraft type to join the airline’s fleet.
The new aircraft will support the Jordanian flag carriers fleet expansion, as it transitions to a fleet made up of new technology aircraft. The airline currently operates a fleet of 24 planes and is planning to grow this number to 41 by 2028.
“The delivery of our first A320neo marks a significant milestone in our fleet modernisation strategy,” said Samer Majali, vice chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian. “This aircraft, with its advanced technology and enhanced fuel efficiency, will enable us to offer improved services to our passengers while reducing our environmental footprint.”
This is the first of eight A320neo aircraft that Avolon expects to deliver over the next 12-month period.
