Allegiant Travel carried almost 1.6 million passengers in March 2023, around the same as in March 2022, taking its first quarter (Q1 2023) passenger total to over 4.1 million, an increase of 11% on Q1 2022.
Revenue passenger miles for March were almost the same as 2022 but for the quarter, a 10.3% increase was recorded by the Las Vegas-based business.
The 88.2% March load factor was 1.7 percentage points above the 2022 level, with the quarterly up 6.9 percentage points on Q1 2022 to reach 85.8%.
The number of flights in March was slightly above 11,100, down on the more than 11,200 operated in 2022. Q1 2023 departures topped 28,000 and were up 2.3% on the first quarter of 2022.
