Alaska Airlines will launch new nonstop flights from Seattle to both London and Reykjavik in May 2026, marking the latest step in its push to become a global carrier.

A daily London service will run year-round, while the Reykjavik route will operate during the summer season, the airline said.

These two new routes are part of Alaska Airlines’ plan to launch at least 12 intercontinental flights from Seattle by 2030. They join previously announced services to Tokyo, which began in May; Seoul, starting this September; and Rome, scheduled to launch in May 2026.

“With these bold moves, we are accelerating our vision to connect our guests to the world,” said Ben Minicucci, CEO of Alaska Airlines. “We are seizing this moment to redefine the international experience and level up.”

To support these new routes, Alaska also unveiled a new livery for its 787 Dreamliners, featuring a design inspired by the Aurora Borealis.

The airline plans to update all five of its Dreamliners with the new livery by spring 2026.
