AirAsia X to launch services to Kenya by the end of the year
AirAsia X will launch flights to Africa as it is set to launch flights between Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur and Kenya's Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta from later this year. No official announcement has been made, though the Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) granted permission to the airline to operate seven weekly flights on the route from October 24, 2024. According to data from Cirium, the route will launch from November 15 and will operate at four times per week. No publication from Kenya's aviation authority detailed the route as of yet. In addition, the airline has launched a new route from Kuala Lumpur to Chiang Rai, Thailand with three weekly flights from November 2024. AirAsia X operates a fleet of 15 A330s and two A340s.
