easyJet has extended its suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv until August, as the airline continues to monitor security concerns in Israel.
The low-cost carrier said in January that it would resume operations to Israel in June, having suspended flights since April 2024. The airline originally stated that it would make a return to the country in October 2024.
“Any customers booked in July are being informed of their options which includes a refund or a transfer to an alternative flight,” an easyJet spokesperson told Airline Economics.
Last month, fellow European budget carrier Ryanair said that it would also not be making a return to Tel Aviv until August - nearly two months beyond its previously scheduled resumption.
Many airlines suspended operations to and from Israel in early May, following a missile strike close to Ben Gurion Airport.
