Clockwork Research, a fatigue risk management consultancy and part of Air Partner’s Consulting & Training division, has appointed Dr Cristina Ruscitto as Senior Researcher. She reports directly to Dr Alexandra Holmes, Research Director at Clockwork Research, and is based at the company’s office in London.
Cristina specialises in the psycho-behavioural predictors of jet lag and fatigue in the aviation sector. Her role at Clockwork Research is varied, including the development of fatigue surveys and survey analysis, the development of fatigue investigation process, the review and recommendation of procedures, the scientific study of roster patterns, and the use of bio-mathematical models to conduct roster analysis.
Cristina has recently completed a PhD in Health Psychology at the University of Surrey, exploring the psycho-behavioural predictors of jet lag amongst long-haul cabin crew. Her research examined the relationship between subjective (symptom perception) and objective (shift in the timing of melatonin) jet lag in order to provide a comprehensive account of jet lag in long-haul cabin crew.
