Eastern Airways has launched its third Paris Orly service, this time from Cardiff, following the opening of routes from East Midlands Airport and Southampton in mid-April.
"The new ticketing partnership between UK regional airline Eastern Airways and Air France, the national flag carrier of France and part of the Air France-KLM group, will develop in the coming weeks into a full codeshare agreement," Eastern Airways announced on April 21.
The carrier has at the same time returned to East Midlands as a base carrier, hiring 25 people for crew and engineering roles.
“We are delighted to have launched Cardiff to Paris adding to the East-Midlands and Southampton services which commenced a week ago in cooperation with Air France given this opens up connectivity to Europe’s second biggest city for both business and leisure travellers and restores direct access year-round to France.” said Roger Hage, the airline's commercial director..
