Air Nostrum has revealed that it closed the year of 2018 with revenues of €501 million, 9.4% more than in 2017.
The Spanish carrier, an Iberia franchised airline for regional flights, obtained a profit after tax of €19 million in 2018, representing an increase of 46% over 2017.
Carlos Bertomeu, president of Air Nostrum, said: “We must persevere in the fight for competitiveness to consolidate the company as the leader of European regional aviation.”
In this exercise, the effects of the pricing, cost reduction and redesign strategies of the flight program that marked a change in trend in 2016 and 2017 were strengthened.
The airline said that even with two planes less than in 2017, the number of flights, routes and passengers exceeded that of 2017.
In 2018, the company had 42 aircraft for its operation with which it carried out 74,779 flights, operated 62 routes at 45 airports and transported 4.7 million passengers, representing 8.5% more than the previous year.
