Air France-KLM is reportedly in talks to acquire a 20% stake in Spanish airline Air Europa, according to local outlet El Economista. The outlet had cited people familiar with the matter.
The newspaper added that the price of the stake would be more than the €100 million stake paid by the International Airlines Group (IAG).
Air Europa is owned by Spanish group Globalia. The company is considering raising cash through a capital increase.
Airline Economics has reached out to both Globalia and Air France-KLM for comment.
