Acorn Capital Management said on May 8, 2025, that its managed entity, Scissortail Aviation International Leasing, has acquired four A330-300 aircraft from Altavair.

The aircraft are currently on short-term operating leases with a “major flag carrier” with strong credit fundamentals, the company stated. EirTrade Aviation will manage the assets beyond the lease term, including aircraft disassembly and parting out.

"This acquisition is a major step forward for Acorn, showcasing our ability to deliver high-quality, structured aviation investments," said Justin Chung, head of alternative credit strategies at Acorn Capital Management. "We appreciate the support of Investec, whose financing solutions made this transaction possible."

A senior credit facility was provided by Investec to facilitate the acquisition. Legal counsel was provided by Clifford Chance, Clyde & Co and Milbank.
