Capital A, parent of AirAsia, has confirmed that it has rejected a new club facility of up to RM500 million under the Danajamin Prihatin Guarantee Scheme because it was not able to fulfil certain conditions.
In a stock filing, the company stated that it would not be proceeding with the Club Facility because it is unable to accept and/or fulfil certain conditions, which include joint and several guarantees from Tan Sri Anthony Francis Fernandes and Datuk Kamarudin bin Meranun, and others.
Capital A stated that it is “exploring other available debt financing alternatives with acceptable terms suitable to the operations and financing requirements of the Company”.
