Lufthansa is to suspend its Frankfurt to Beijing service from the start of the 2024 winter season. “Lufthansa is continuously evaluating and optimising its entire route network, particularly with a view to profitability and the capacity shortages caused by aircraft manufacturers’ delivery problems,” said a spokesperson for the airline. “Therefore, Lufthansa decided to temporarily suspend LH 720/721 service between Frankfurt and Beijing.” The German flag carrier follows British Airways in becoming the second European airline to axe services to Beijing. The airline will continue to fly to Beijing via its Munich hub, still allowing access to flights to the Chinese capital
