British Airways’ (BA) ground services staff at London City Airport threatened to cause “major disruption” at the airport over pay disputes. BA’s wholly-owned subsidiary Gatwick Ground Services (GGS), which operates at Gatwick Airport as well as London City Airport, had made a pay offer in July to employees. However, GMB Union – the employees’ representative – had rejected the pay offer. The union claimed that workers at London City are being paid 17% less than their counterparts at Gatwick.
