International airport group ASUR posted its September 2024 passenger traffic report. The Mexican company’s passenger traffic for the month reached a total of 4.9 million passengers, a slight decline of 1.5% compared to September 2023. Passenger traffic increased 14.7% in Colombia. This was driven by mid-teens growth in both domestic and international traffic. However, traffic declined marginally in Puerto Rico at 0.8%, while Mexico traffic was down 8.1%. Puerto Rico reported strong international traffic growth at 26%, however domestic traffic was down 3.9%. Its Mexican traffic decline was driven by a fall in both international and domestic traffic.
