Cathay Pacific Airways, has received approval from the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong to levy an increased passenger fuel surcharge form December. Cathay will raise its surcharge for short-haul flights by 11% to HK$120 from the current HK$108, with the surcharge for long-haul flights increasing by 9% to HK$566 from the current HK$521. SIA and ANA are expected to follow with increases this week.
