Air China confirmed it has ordered 10 Airbus A350s and 10 A330s. China Airlines stated that it had received “a large discount from Airbus” on the order but Aviation News understands that this is due to heavy discounts on the powerplants not the aircraft. This is backed by the fall in RR shares yesterday on news of the order. Deliveries are scheduled to take place from 2013.
