Austria's Wizz Air has taken delivery a sixth aircraft to its Vienna base. The new Airbus A321 will join the fleet in the middle of December.

The airline has said that the introduction of the aircraft will enable the start of services from Vienna to Alicante, Bremen, Chisinau, Naples, Oslo and Porto.

The Chisinau flight will depart twice a week on Mondays and Fridays starting 28 October. Flights to Oslo will depart four times a week starting 16 December.

Meanwhile, Alicante will depart three times a week starting 17 December, Bremen flights will take place five times a week starting 17 December, Naples will depart three times a week also on 17 December and Porto flights will commence every Wednesday and Sunday on 18 December.

Wizz opened its Austrian base in Vienna International Airport in June 2018 and the new Airbus A321 aircraft represents an investment of further $118 million by Wizz Air into the Austrian aviation market - with the airline offering 38 routes to 23 countries from Vienna.
