Wizz Air set to add new service to Ukraine's Zaporizhia

Wizz Air will become the latest airline to run services from Budapest Airport with the launch of its first link to Zaporizhia.

This announcement marks the 12th new service for next summer and adds further options from Budapest to Ukraine.

“Zaporizhia becomes a new destination on our route map and our sixth new service to Ukraine across all airlines in just three months,” said Balázs Bogáts, head of airline development, Budapest Airport. “The demand is exceptional and with the support of our closely-held airline partners we’re able to offer schedules to suit all.”

Using its fleet of 180-seat A320s, the ultra-low-cost carrier will begin a twice-weekly service from Zaporizhia in the south-east of Ukraine from 29 March 2020.

With this latest expansion, from next June Wizz Air will offer 13-weekly services from Budapest to the increasingly popular cities of Ukraine.
