Wizz Air will introduce two new A321neo aircraft at airports in Bucharest, Romania by August, which will serve at both the airlines newly established base at Bucharest’s Baneasa airport and Bucharest Otopeni.
The airline said that these new jets will grow its capacity from Bucharest by 22%, compared to the same period last year, adding 913 thousand seats to operations from Bucharest.
“With a 51% market share in Romania, we are looking forward to expanding our network and start operating today a new base at Bucharest Baneasa Airport,” said Mauro Peneda, general manager of Wizz Air Malta.
Beginning operations in Romania in 2006, the airline now operates 173 routes from 13 Romanian airports.
