Two asset finance partners from Reed Smith have left the US firm for UK rival Watson Farley & Williams. The UK law firm has hired an entire aviation finance team from Reed Smith including partners Rex Rosales and Siva Subramanian, along with three associates.
Currently head of Watson Farley’s transport finance group, Rosales joined Reed Smith in 2007 from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a partner, while Subramaniam, who also spent several years at Freshfields, joined Reed Smith in 2008 from Clyde & Co.
Watson Farley managing partner Michael Greville said: “The recruitment of this team takes us straight into these markets at a level which is complementary to our other practices, including strong relationships with a number of financial institutions which are already important clients of WFW, and offers tremendous scope for development in our offices in Europe, Asia and the USA.”
The Reed Smith associates joining Watson Farley are Andrew Harper, Karine Oates and Jahnavi Ramachandran.
