Spanish carrier Vueling has published details the airlines environmental performance in 2023.
The airline presented its findings in a report which also looked at social action and governance throughout the year. The report highlights how the airline had reduced its Co2 emissions per passenger by 9.5% in 2023, when compared to data from 2019.
""Our mission is to connect people and places and we work to develop solutions that allow us to do so in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way,"" said Vueling's chief communication, sustainability and public affairs officer Sandra Hors. ""We are proud of the progress we made in 2023, especially in reducing emissions and our commitment to sustainable aviation fuels.""
As well as reducing its Co2 emissions, the airline also supplied 1,285 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in 2023, which is four times the volumes recorded in 2022.
