VISION AIRLINES TO OFFER TUNICA-DESTIN SERVICE

Vision Airlines will begin offering non-stop flights to Destin, Fla., from Tunica Municipal Airport on June 1. The company’s chief operating officer said the decision to fly from Tunica, Miss., was made due to high fees at Memphis International Airport. Ga.-based airline is adding five new non-stop and one-stop destinations from Northwest Florida Regional Airport, which services Destin and Fort Walton Beach. In addition to Tunica, the company is adding flights from Destin to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Lafayette, La.; Las Vegas and St. Louis. Vision Airlines is offering an introductory fare of $39 one-way, not including taxes and fees, for the flights. The promotional fare is for online bookings made April 20-24 and travel between June 1-15. After that, flights will cost about $99 one-way. This service, in part fills a void left by Delta as they pulled the loss making route. Best of luck to Vision.
